In 2012, Capital Mechanical was lucky enough to receive a job application from a motivated candidate, Derek. Initially answering an advertisement for a Warehouse Associate, Derek interviewed for the job, but immediately saw the potential for more in this fast growing company. He was right. After only 6 months, Derek’s hard work, consistent job performance and increased knowledge paid off and he accepted the job of QI Inspector. This enabled him to oversee plumber’s work, firsthand, and continue to grow his field knowledge. He was a standout in this role and there was no holding him back….his next goal was Warranty Service Technician. By now, it had been only 2 years, and Derek had already climbed the career ladder 3 times, but he wasn’t done yet. After 5 successful years as a Warranty Service Technician and helping hundreds of new homeowners with service calls, Derek was promoted again, and is now Capital Mechanical’s Warranty Service Manager. His daily tasks not only include warranty service calls to new homeowner’s, but managing Capital Mechanical’s Warranty Service Department, consisting of 5 service techs. Recently, Derek celebrated his 8 year anniversary at Capital Mechanical and is a great example of the opportunity for career growth at this company. Hard work pays off!
